Nothing of note to bring up yet. My muse has been out of wack for the last couple days. The only progress I've made is rereading an old scene, scrapping a new one and trying to make my main character, Avery, less of a... wimp. And that's being generous lol.
While boys should be portrayed as sensitive and soft, I originally made Avery an exact foil to his siblings. I made him a pacifist, a vegan and a boy with suicidal thoughts and undiagnosed depression. It was a huge contrast to the others that I thought, well, MADE SENSE. But it didn't.
If I'm making him a sensitive boy, I have to change a lot of these original traits of his. He shouldn't be weak just because; he should be weak, in such a way that he's relatable. He should embody the family's black sheep or their outcast or the embarrassment. But as a literal assassin born into such a family, he should hold some "superhuman" traits like the others. Like a tolerance for pain, maybe? It's still in the works! Lol.
Hope everyone's doing well and staying safe. Here's the prettiest pic I've ever (and will ever) post on here! :D
