Mental Health Month.
This heart you see, was so pure.
Filled with kindness and innocence.
Would smile at the slightest bit of love given.
Pouring out love on people so temporary.
Lost it's innocence, drenched in fear,
of roaming on the streets,
where it once weaved memories,
became the dreaded place,
the reminder of it's terrible humiliation.
Afraid of crowds, of disrespect,
of the exploitation,
of the very temples where Goddesses,
but was felt shamelessly by filthy hands.
Bruised and numb,
stitched itself back at fifteen.
This heart still didn't stop loving,
you see, still a fool.
Just caged itself brutally.
People came, took it's love,
tearing it with their weak promises.
Robbing it off it's respect,
withering at every stab it suffered.
But you see, imperfect yet so strong,
kept beating, it's beautiful rhythm.
Fighting through the numerous knives,
stealing away it's kindness.
Such a pure heart once,
now so cold, pale and grey.
They took away it's red,
Meaningless apologies came it's way,
To save themselves from the guilt.
Preaching it should paint itself again,
but did they leave anything?
A colorful pallette may be,
to begin again with?
It didn't find any, how could it?
They didn't leave any after all.
They tore it apart ,
and it had been bleeding since.
Cold, yes but still beautiful.
Not pretty, little sign of red,
yet still so beautiful.
