COCOA & TURMERIC MILK☕️— In the morning, a lot of people have the habit to drink a coffee or a tea. 4 years ago I decided to stop drinking coffee because it’s very acidic and I wanted to rebalance my digestion and gut flora. I’ve tried many thing and this is the one recipe that I find satisfying even if at the time , I can’t have sugar.
✨COCOA ✨powder is full of antioxidants, it has an I explicable quality to stabilize blood pressure and is really good for brain health, it is rich in flavonoids and it helps maintaining a good cholesterol level.
✨TURMERIC✨ is an amazing anti-inflammatory which is great when inflammation is what you need to treat and is also rich in antioxidants and dietary fibre which help to control LDL (bad cholesterol) levels.
Obviously it’s better when you add a little raw honey in it but it also taste really great without.
RECIPE FOR TURMERIC PASTE
1 tbsp of turmeric powder
2 tbsp of filtered water
1/8 tsp of ground pepper
In a small pot, on medium heat, add all the ingredients and constantly mix until it becomes a paste, don’t let it come to boil.
That’s it! Super simple, basically it’s 2 part water for 1 part turmeric powder and a little pepper, pepper helps with the absorption of the turmeric.
RECIPE FOR COCOA & TURMERIC MILK
1 cup of coconut milk (almond milk will do as well)
1 tsp of cocoa powder
1/2 tsp of turmeric paste
1/2 tsp of coconut oil (optional, its good for better absorption) ➡️ Add all the ingredients in a pot and stirring often, heat it up until all the ingredients are mixed together, serve hot and enjoy.😊
