We have this idea in our society that #LOVE
trump our feelings. It's NOT true. We have feelings AND we still have love. They are NOT mutually exclusive.
As a Mom, I have heard this over and over from all my #momfriends
.... It seriously drives me crazy.
🗒️You have PERMISSION -
To have feelings, to feel overwhelmed, to struggle with your kids. You have permission to not like them today and to need a break. It is ok to be angry and annoyed.
Regardless of ALL of those feelings. You can still LOVE your child! 💜💜💜Even when you have the other feelings.
Now, this doesn't mean you have permission to just lose your shit all the time. 😫I mean, that will happen and that's ok. 💜BUT, it is something you can learn to manage and navigate so that you learn to avoid losing your shit in front of your kids. Check out @dr.annelouise.lockhart

BTW... ☝️The key to not learning to lose your shit is taking care of yourself and meeting your needs, then meeting the underlying needs of your children.
